Exploring Life Through The Lens

Avocado Almond Milk

An avocado stands on one side while a bottle of milk on the other. They have heads. And hands. And legs. Ok, they’re animated. They start running towards each other. Suddenly, Mr. Almond stopped right in their tracks. But avocado and milk are so much in love that they didn’t stop. All three smash into each other and BOOM! They become avocado almond milk. And that, my friends, is how this awesome beverage was born.

If you’ve had it before, you know it’s delicious. Then there’s really no point for you to stick around. But…. I’d like it if you do. Heh.

Anyway, if you hadn’t tried it before, like me (yes I know you’re beginning to see a pattern of the many things I’ve never tried before), well… try it. You’ve gotta stop whatever it is you’re doing right now and go get yourself some avocados. Unless you hate avocados. Then we need to resort to banana milk. Unless you hate bananas. Carrot milk? No? Strawberry? Watermelon? Mango? You’ve got to like something.

Avocado-Milk

After all this time, to think that with regular milk, almond milk was pretty darn delicious already. Wrong. With almond milk, it takes this to a whole new level! You can count on the fact that this almond milk will make you roll back your eyes a little and you’d go ‘Whoa, this is good’. (I can’t guarantee whether store bought almond milk will be as good.) This avocado almond milk is indeed, to die for.

What is the best version of avocado milk that you’ve ever tasted?

Avocado Almond Milk           Serves 1

what you need:

1 tbs almond butter
1 1/4 cup of warm water (If you like yours cold, use cold water or add ice when you serve)
1/2 Hass avocado (ripe ones yield the best milk)
1 tbs sugar (or other sweetener of your choice)
1 tsp vanilla (optional)

directions:

  1. Scoop out avocado into a blender.
  2. Add everything else in and blend on high until creamy.
  3. If the beverage is too thick for you, add a little more water and sweetener of your choice.

Note: If you already have premade almond milk, omit the first two ingredients and use 1 1/4 cup of almond milk

Using regular milk

what you need:

1/2 Hass avocado
1 cup of milk
1 tbs sugar (or any sweetener of your choice)
1 tsp vanilla

directions:

  1. Scoop out avocado into a blender.
  2. Add everything else in and blend on high until creamy.
  3. If it’s too thick, add a little water or milk.
