I love fried chicken. That bite into the crispy skin and juicy meat. Gawd. I love brownies too. Its rich and decadent chocolaty goodness fits perfectly in my tummy. I can’t get enough of coconut rice, ramen noodles, French fries, potato chips, bacon, boba tea, burger, pork belly anything.. oh my goodness.

We all know the motto in life. Life is short, live it to the fullest therefore eat anything you want.

If only…

It’s more like “You are what you eat” or “Eat well, feel well”.

I really don’t mind becoming a bacon and I definitely feel well after eating bacon too.

Oh, who am I kidding. I should be saying I love vegetables, grains, fruit, nuts, beans ug.. I cant… type.. on.

Detox your body with this Orange Avocado Green Smoothie. Perfect for meals or snack. It's creamy, super delicious and good for you.

You know when you become the designated referee in an argument between two parties, the best words of wisdom is..

Ok, guys. We have got to come to a compromise.

Here’s the compromise. I still eat bacon. And brownies. But I have to eat my greens. Except that in my book, everything has got to be delicious. Even my greens.

So here’s to delicious orange avocado green smoothie so that bacon does not cease to exist in my tummy.

Detox your body with this Orange Avocado Green Smoothie. Perfect for meals or snack. It's creamy, super delicious and good for you.

Quick Recipe               Serves 2

what you need:
2 cups baby spinach
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 cup diced apple
1 cup diced orange
1 cup diced avocado
1-1 1/2 tbs sweetener like honey, agave (optional)
1 tbs chia seeds (optional)

directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. I use the Vitamix and blend on ‘High’ until smooth.

Notes:

1. Greens: Spinach can be substituted with any other green leafy vegetables like kale, celery, collard or Swiss chard.

2. Liquid: Substitute almond milk with other milk like soy or cashew, coconut water, green tea, juice or plain water.

3. Fruit:
a. At least one cup of fruit has to be creamy. So substitute avocado with mango, peach or banana.
b. The remaining fruit can be any fruit like kiwi, berries, pears, grapes, pineapple..etc. Other creamy fruit can be included as well.

4. Boosts: Chia seeds can be substituted with hemp seeds or flax seed.

Ok, perhaps I was overly dramatic. I do love my vegetables and what not… and man, this smoothie is actually good. Slurp.
